Adjective and Adverbs

An adjective defines a noun or pronoun:

  • That guy is so rude!

An adverb explains a verb or anything aside from a noun and pronoun:

  • That guy talks so rudely!

Adverbs are applied to reply to how questions. Like;

  • How does that guy talk?
  • He talks rudely.

Blossoms smell fresh, or blossoms smell freshly, which is correct? Fresh is right because it depicts the smell of blossoms. Smell freshly shows how a rose smells means blossoms do not have noses, so they cannot smell.
